You probably already have an idea of what this product is about, but let me explain a little more about the overall content and what it does exactly.

Protect Your Online Assets essentially helps people fully understand the often overlooked legal aspects of running a business, no matter how big or small. It is clearly aimed at online business owners but can also be applied to any business online or offline.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
 

Sudden impact

Most of the time when we review products, we know what's coming before we really get too deep into the product. But from the very first 5 minutes of getting inside this product, I was already taken back by the sheer shock of how much at risk I was with my own business activity...even though I thought I was doing nothing wrong!

When you get inside the member's download area, you'll find that the main guide is offered both as an audio file which can be streamed online or available as a download. This audio is an interview with the two experienced lawyers Garrett Sutton and Catherine Cary. This audio interview is also available as a written transcript if you're not an audio type of person.

Caters for lazy people like me...

For me personally, I love audio as it allows me to do menial tasks such as lie down and relax without straining my eyes and back. I can literally download information into my brain whilst doing other things. But if you're not like me and prefer written material, it's all here.

This is a great start, as I say, I love audio products. But I also respect the fact that the guys took the time to cater for both preferences.

These documents alone are not only well presented and extremely professional, but they are downright essential elements you (yes YOU!) need to have on your websites and in your everyday business dealings if you want to start out on the safe ladder to success and not the slippery slope to court proceedings.

I can tell you, these premade professional documents will save you a lot of time and money and I do feel that the price is already near justified. After putting those into my existing businesses, it's time to slink down and let the audio play...

Audio not great

The first impression I had of the audio quality was that is was not the best I've heard. It's a little tinny and grainy sounding, but the clarity is there and you can hear everything being said...so at this point I am just nitpicking.

Complicated at first

The main audio product is great that it gets straight into the meaty details, but be prepared to devote your attention to it.

It begins in a pretty straightforward manner, but you really need to hold on tight as the pace and tempo is pretty quick and there are lots of valuable nuggets and action steps that you need to listen out for which can pass you by pretty quickly if you're not careful. Furthermore, some of the info covered further into this 60+ minute audio does get a little more complicated and in depth.

Whilst this might not be such a problem thanks to the transcripts and the additional notes provided, it's not too easy to digest on audio.

DOES IT WORK?
 

Credible and hard to disagree...

After consuming this product twice, one thing is for sure. This product flat out works. It's not exactly a blueprint or a system however, more a wide array of advice and tips that cover every major aspect of your online business.

The people giving the advice clearly know their stuff and have a huge credible background to reinforce their advice (they are both lawyers and run legal advice services online, plus both have published several paperback books, including best sellers on Amazon).

US Biased?

I would say that some of the more specific advice is in reference to the US, but still applies to other countries; you'll just need to adjust for the country's own laws.

Irrespective of that, every piece of advice that is given is as solid as a rock. There's not a question or doubt that the information provided in this interview is any short of 100% accurate.

Unlike other types of products that are created by people who know nothing about the subject or industry, this is one of those products that has no problems of providing accurate, timely and solid advice.

Nicely aimed at online businesses & our relevent problems

Whilst many issues covered are not necessarily new or ground breaking in the world of law, the points and suggestions made are conveniently aimed at problems online marketers face more specifically, even if they don't yet realize it!

It could be argued that the best option for legal issues to do with your online business would be to go and see your own offline lawyer.

The real golden gem here...

However, where I think this product shines is that it acts as a great introduction and eye opener to all of the things you should know and fix with your existing business before having to shell out a ton of money on a good lawyer when it might already be too late.

Let me say that again...this product works well because it acts as a PREVENTION to the lesser known dangers you might be exposed to right now, without even knowing it. It essentially saves you from legal action and helps protect your own assets too.

I would still advise that you seek legal advice from your local legal firm in most cases, particularly if you're unsure about a particular aspect of what you're doing online, but don't dismiss this product as a great way to prevent things that can be fixed by yourself, at a considerably lower cost than a law suit!

Lots of content

There are just so many tricks and tips covered in this 66 minute interview that it would take about 14 days of typing to cover it all. Little tricks from setting up the right type of corporation through to protecting your eBooks from online theft...

...it's all covered off neatly and conveniently aimed at "infoprenuers" and online business owners, who are the clear target of such a wide range of legal problems.

It's not just protecting you from the bad side of the law either, as there are numerous pieces of advice that can help you protect your business, your assets, your money and essentially your entire business through some very smart legal advice.

I particularly enjoyed the sections which covered how to save taxes on your business, purely by incorporating properly and taking simple steps to take advantage of tax laws in your favour.

WHO IS IT RIGHT FOR?
 

Unlike most products we review, I'd say this product is right for everybody and anybody who runs an online business. Sure, some bigger companies will have much of this advice covered off already, particularly the larger corporations.

But the fact is that smaller businesses, particularly the one or two people operations running a business from home, are more than likely left wide open to legal problems without realizing it and may have not even considered many of the issued covered in this product.

Even affiliates who don't own their own products will find out there are things to consider, and likewise people who run affiliate programs may be open to risks too...in fact, after listening to this interview, I think about 70% of merchants in one popular affiliate network that most of us use, are open to problems.

Folks, its scary stuff if you're not in the know.

BAD POINTS
 

As previously mentioned, I feel that this product is angled slightly more to the US market. Whilst Simon makes a good attempt to include questions to the experts that make reference to the UK, there is still a tendency to refer back to the US markets and laws.

With that being said, almost every point and piece of advice given is based on universal legalities and principles so it's a case of applying it to your own country.

Again, as mentioned earlier on in this review the material might be a little complicated for some in places. Whilst the material ranges from basic and common sense principles it can switch to more specific, complex action steps within 30 seconds.

Whilst these complexities only serve to actually help you take action, for some people there will be information overload and may even be inclined to seek legal advice anyway. In fact, whether you buy this product or not, I would recommend that outside, individual legal advice is always a good idea as the next step in any case.

GOOD POINTS
 

Without doubt, there are many aspects of this product which are pure gold. I particularly enjoyed the areas that discussed how to benefit from legitimate tax breaks and write offs. I was completely oblivious to such aspects of running my own business and I am glad that I didn't register my new business as a sole proprietorship before listening to the advice given here.

Furthermore, there are some really solid points to protecting your assets such as your digital products (which are always an easy target for being ripped off) right through to saving yourself from killer law suites that are literally lurking right around the corner, right when everything seems just fine and you're not doing any harm from your humble little home based business.

Again, the bigger corporations might not get as much from the advice given here as you'd imagine they would have this stuff covered off already. But for the more humble, smaller enterprises that are often run from home, this stuff is going to be well worth a listen/read.

As I already mentioned, we're not just talking about legal protection, but also about benefiting from certain entitlements and allowances that are available to registered, incorporated businesses...such as saving money on your bills through to advertising costs, covering the cost of that new work PC to getting a comfortable new office chair to comply with health and safety laws. There's so much to gain its mind blowing.

During the hour I spent listening to this fast paced interview, something struck me...

Not only can this information save you money in your business running costs along with protecting you from a potential court summons, but it will ultimately allow your business to grow as it frees up your costs and protects your brand & assets.

There are rarely times where a product suffers so little flaws. We always aim to provide a balanced and well educated review based on actually using the product in question, which often leads us to rip apart aspects of a product whilst praising other parts too.

In the case of ProtectYourOnlineAssets.com, we genuinely struggled to find any significant faults or reasons not to buy this inexpensive guide. Without sounding biased or over promotional, this is one of those products that are not only 100% solid and true, but also an essential read/listen for smaller online business owners who may have overlooked certain legal pitfalls of running their operation.

Whilst you may think (like we did) that you're backside is covered and you've not really done anything to get flagged up on, you'd be surprised at just what dangers are lurking around the corner.

And even if you're 110% certain that your not infringing on anyone else's copyright or leaving yourself open to legal action in any shape or form, you might just be surprised at how much there is to benefit and gain from setting your company up the right way from the start, so that you can experience a whole slew of tax benefits and legal protection for years to come...

...all of which will allow you to focus your time and energy on growing your business, without being ripped off, stolen from, sued and possibly even dragged up in court.

Don't let them throw the book at you, and know when you can throw it at someone else who is stealing your business.
